[pure-lang] bitbucket.org: pull requests, named branches, bookmarks

i haven't really used mercurial in over a year (new job required git),
and never used the pull request functionality in bitbucket.org, until
now. i tried using bookmarks first:

  --o--o ag/default
       | o change-a
         o change-b

but the pull request form got confused, the pulldown box had two
"default (<hash>)" items, one for each head, but the rest of the
form did not respond to selection change in that pulldown.

i had to create a named branch for each PR, and that is wrong[1][2].
is this really the expected workflow, or should it work with bookmarks?

how do you work with bitbucket.org? i'll appreciate any advice.
