Frank, Thanks for the confirmation, I was beginning to think I had produced sub standard work for the original manual!! I might have had to go outside and beat myself with a damp edition of the Radio Times!!(Smile) Yes, I agree that the slower boot up is a nuisance but on balance the Version 5 firmware is much improved from the early versions. The other thing in Version 5 which I like is the option between a Stand by mode and total Shut Down at least you can choose which suits best and the start up from stand by is then pretty quick. Glad to answer any suchquestions. In firmware release 1.00 the AM PM setting setting works exactly as described in the manual. The unit also boots up in 10 seconds as compared with the 60 sec plus that my version 5 unit takes. But I still love version 5! I thought you would have had some idea about this. This is slightly foolish from plextor's side though! Surely it would not be difficult to implement something like this in a future release of the firmware? -----Original Message----- From: ptr1-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ptr1-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jamie Cuthbertson Sent: 21 February 2012 09:34 PM To: ptr1-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: switching between 24 hour clock and AM and PM on the pocket Hi Andre, No, I think this is now an error in the manual as it does not work on my unit either. From memory though, I think the Pocket did used this option in the earlier versions of the firmware when the manual was written originally. It is also entirely possible that I made a mistake in writing the early version of the manual and that it never worked as described, though I did tend to double check everything as I went along. It is my understanding that the choice to have 12 or 24 hour clock is now not in the options at all. I followed the steps in the pocket manual exactly and it doesn?t work. At the moment my pocket uses the 24 hour clock which is OK but I prefer the PM and AM setting. According to the manual, if you get to the time setting where you can input the correct time, if you move the right arrow you can select either AM or PM. However this definitely does not work on my pocket. Is it possible that I have the wrong firmware in my pocket?
