That is what I did. I use shortcut 8 to turn on and off the wireless feature. Saves battery when reading books or listening to music.

If I say button 7 shortcut for podcasts then it just takes me to that part in the menu where the podcast folder is and then I can enter on it to check for updates but I would think it would be more helpful if in time plextalk as well as APH will change it so that when you press button 7 or whatever you have selected, it will then go into that specified folder like podcasts or Internet radio. Its a good feature though but hoping that it will be tweeked and worked on a bit in the next version. Anyways thanks again Emma On 5/1/12, Jamie Cuthbertson <jamie.cuthbertson@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Hi Emma, I didn’t spot your message before I replied to Russ’ suggestion. In case it helps, the section from the PTP1 user guide is copied below, though it may well be different on the BookPort. Regards, Jamie *****Text begins: 3.3. Shortcut for the menu selection. You can register and select a specific menu item with Number Pad. To register the specific menu item, do the following: E Press the Menu key and go to the menu item you want to register. E While pressing and holding the Menu key, press and hold your favorite Number Pad until confirmation sound. Then the PLEXTALK will register the specific menu item with this number. To select the specific menu item directly, do the following: E While pressing and holding the Menu key, press and release the registered Number Pad. Then you can select the specific menu item. *****Text ends. As I asked how to do it, you said we need to go read the help file. Not sure where in the bookport help it will be but that's a good suggestion Peter lol. I have a PTN2 but thought the bookport might be nice to get as everyone has a pocket lol. Anyways, thanks for a great list. For anyone who didn’t know about this feature, I found the instructions on how to do this in Section 3.3 of the built in User Guide, which can be accessed by pressing the Number 0 key. Once you’ve finished reading the User Guide, pressing the Number 0 key again returns you to normal working.
