Hi again John, I'm guilty of not reading all my messages before replying - sorry!! When you mention track marks I'm assuming that you are meaning the headings that, in the DAISY title, you can use to jump to a new section of the title, whether this is a new section of a book or a new track in an audio album. To my understanding the use of the heading key as you mentioned before (whether in recording pause or not) will achieve this track marking and this is what indeed should happen. If, however, you take the CD or card over to a computer and examine the raw files in the title's folder, you will probably find that, despite there being more than one heading, there will only be a single MP3 or WAV audio file for each new piece of recording. Anyway, we have probably bashed this one to bits and I need some food - perhaps some of my humble pie! Jamie P.S. Glad the help about PTP1 was OK. As mentioned, my two units, before updating them, did, in fact, create a new file when I went out of and back into record. The only way I cxan get trackmarks now is to use the "heading" button. If I recall, there may have even been something in the release notes for version 2.4, problem was, I had already done the dirty deed. Anyway, I hope you are quite right. By the way, your help with books on the PTP1 was great, as usual.
