Thanks for finding that--I looked through the manual and didn't see it. My
tech guy says that the pins are slightly different...

John,

I have copied this paragraph from the PTR2 manual and hopefully this
will be of some help:

"* CF Card: PLEXTALK is able to use both "CF Type I" (Compact
Flash) and "CF Type II" (Micro drive) cards. In this User's Guide, both
compact flash cards and micro drives are called "CF cards".

Presumably this would indicate that Type I and Type II cards are the
same physical size? If anyone knows differently, please chip in.

Cheers,

Jamie

Hi Judy:

Meant to respond to your inquiry earlier, but: (1), forgot, and (2), my
response won't be that helpful, unless Michael Lang chimes in.

I believe that, at least for the PTR1, only a type 1 card is acceptable,
and
you have to use an adaptor to make that happen. The restriction, if it
is
such, has to do with the physical dimensions of the card. So, if, fact,
there's an adaptor which accepts a type 2 card, and which can be slid
into
the micro-drive slot on the lower right-hand side of the unit, then you
might be able to use a type 2 card.

Michael Lang said that you can use both type 1 and type 2 cards, but,
again
speaking only for the PTR1, if there's no adaptor which will allow a
type 2
card to be accessed by a micro-drive input, then you can only use type 1

cards, for which adaptors are readily available.

This is probably more confusing than helpful, but its all I know to tell

you. Let's hope Michael Lang chimes in with more particular information.

John
