Hi Peter,

You're right!! Not only would I prefer to be able to do this by myself, I
dare say you could be doing better things with your life than creating
playlists for me and emailing them on!!! (Smile)

I like the sound of your suggestion about having the choice before
automatically playing the item so I'll give it a bash and will let you know
if, at last, I've cracked it.

Thanks for the Clyde1 file and I promise that whatever happens, I won't be
asking for any more.

All the best,

Jamie

Hi Jamie,

I think the problem may have occurred when you tried to save the
playlist, although I can't be sure as my version of Windows Media
Player doesn't sound the same as yours.

If you have Windows XP, then go to Control-panel, Folder options,
then File Associations tab. Go down the list of file types to
M3U. then tab to the Advanced button, and in that dialogue there's a
checkbox called "confirm open after download". Check that, then OK
everything. Now when you follow a media link, instead of playing
straight away, it will offer you the choice of open or
download. This is the easiest way I have found to save those files.

With the files from MobTuner you have to do this twice, and read the
first M3U file with Notepad as you did.

I'll send the file for Clyde 1, but I'm guessing you'd rather get
this sorted for yourself. If you have Windows 7 then I haven't yet
worked out how to do the save directly, so it's a question of more
experimenting.

Finally, as I had Emailed the people who run the MobTuner site, they
called me and told me of another site, which I think is just another
portal to the same content - not quite sure - but it's possibly a
nicer site for accessibility at:
http://www.blindradio.com

Best,

Peter
