Hi Peter,
I certainly like the website you found - it seems to be pretty easy to
search for and find stations of interest.
I am, however, still being ridiculously thick on this one. Let me explain
what I am doing and see if you can spot the flaw in my approach as there's
definitely something that I'm doing wrong.
This is what I tried in order to get one of my local radio stations, Clyde1
FM.
1. Using the website you recommended, I searched for and found my desired
radio station.
2. I went to the link on the search results and found the link that would
have started playing Clyde 1 live.
3. I pressed Shift+F10 and selected "Save target as" and saved the file as
Clyde1.m3u.
4. Using Notepad, I opened the file and selected and copied the URL from
inside the m3u file.
5. I went to Internet Explorer and entered the URL into the address bar and
pressed Enter.
6. This launched Windows Media Player and started playing the radio
station.
7. I tabbed round within Windows Media Player till I got to the Playlists
drop down menu button and used my Up and Down Arrows to select "Save
playlist as" and chose to save it as an M3U playlist and gave it a suitable
name.
8. I then used the Plextalk Transfer software to upload the resulting M3U
file to the Pocket and....it still didn't work.
I thought I was reasonably intelligent with computers but this is really
make me feel like a complete dummy. I'm sure it is something really obvious
but I just can't spot it.
Any thoughts gratefully received.

Hi Jamie,
Yes, this one for Classic FM works OK, and I'm sending you the file
off-list. I can't tell what's going wrong when you try it, but just
to reiterate, it's always a question of getting the actual M3U file
intact, not creating your own from a URL.
An interesting twist to this is another site which is a brilliant
resource for finding international stations:
http://www.mobtuner.com
The twist is that when you save M3U files from this site, those files
actually contain the URL's for the working M3U files, so when you
first try the saved files they don't work on the Pocket, but if you
then read the files, go to the URL's they contain and save those M3U
files, you have something that does work on the Pocket. As I said
before, such fun ... there must be an easier way but again, it seems
to be worth the trouble for the results.
