Dave,
If you have CD burning software like Nero or Easy CD Creator, the other way
of dealing with the ISO file is to load the software first and then use the
facility in the software for burning a CD from the image file.
There is a link to instructions on the Plextalk download page of how to do
this for several software packages. It's on the page just above the list of
firmware downloads.

When I clicked on the file on my PC, it could not do anything with it as
it did not know which program to open it with.

Dave,
You can't simply copy the ISO file onto a blank CD as it will then just
be an ISO file on a CD rather than the CD becoming an exact replica of
the data stored in the ISO image file. You need to use specific
software for creating the resulting CD in the proper way.
I think that there are instructions for how to use the ISO file given on
the download page of the Plextalk website.

I downloaded the file to my PC, inserted the blank CD that came with the
PTR2 and copied the file onto it. Inserted it into the PTR2 and all it
said was "Blank disc press record to create daisy title" Is this a disc
problem? Or am I doing something wrong. Please advise.

Many thanks for the heads up. If I can find a blank CD tonight, I'll
copy the iso image that I've just downloaded to my computer to the blank
disk and upgrade my PTR2 at work tomorrow. Wait, what am I saying; I
still have the blank disk that came with the PTR2 since I only bought it
last february, so now I know I can upgrade my unit!
