Any problems to report with larger capacity CF cards?

First, thanks to Judy for her reply to my last question -
funny I never saw my previous post on the list!
Question. Does anyone find problems with 1GB and above CF
cards as far as certain brands of card go? This question
brought on by someone on another list having problems with SD
cards and card readers. I know memory cards are not all the
same and some equipment and card readers just won't recognize
some makes of card.
Preliminary investigations suggest the bigger the card, the
more a problem is likely to arise. Also, age of card readers
can have a bearing, seemingly.
All this said, what experiences here with PTR2 and various
makes of card?
