Sorry, I was being a bit cryptic :-) What I meant to say was: can you
pipe the output character stream from fldigi into a temporary file
(using "tee"), then do a hex dump on the file (using "od -x") to
discover the characters in the stream?
I am not familiar with the details of the PSKmail code, so I don't know
how closely it is coupled to fldigi, so my suggestion may not be
feasible.
