Hi John, With both versions 3.10 and 3.12.4 it's impossible to work with a node. After the first frames I have a chance at a connect but that ends during moving of the RX freq. And it moves more then 100 Hz although the search settings are set to 10 Hz. It is pc depended, another laptop works fine. All other modes are working fine. Only psk has the problem. Waiting for 3.13 Thanks Regards Paul; pa0son _____ Van: pskmail-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pskmail-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Namens John Douyere Verzonden: zaterdag 19 september 2009 15:16 Aan: pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Onderwerp: [pskmail] Re: jittering fldigi 3.10 - 3.12.4 Hi Paul, I will try to find out if there is a target release date for Fldigi 3.13. I used the alpha version of Fldigi again today with Psk125 and 250 for Pskmail and the settings I gave you before produced a very stable decoding. With older versions (like 3.10) I would have had a few frames damaged simply because of this jitter. In all other modes, like RTTY, MT-63, Olivia RX-fldigi is I don't have that jittering. I really hope that 3.13 version will come soon, I have some enthusiastic HAMs to start with pskmail tests, but that delays due to this jitter problem. If so, in the modem/psk configuration tab, adjust the signal acquisition S/N up (I found 13dB was ok for me) and the search range down ( had to put it at 10Hz). The upcoming version of Fldigi (3.13, when it comes out) seems to have resolved that jitter issue. In the mean time this is the workaround. I went to fldigi 3.10 and the problem was solved. Now I try to set up a laptop XP 1,4 GHz for a fellow HAM and fldigi 3.12.4 as well as 3.10 are jittering. Any tip? 73 Paul PA0SON
