I have no problem with AndPskmail, except the gmail issues, but it seems
like that's not unique for the Android version.
And i have no use for the map/Xastir interaction, I'm only using it to
communicate when im "of the grid" camping/hiking. Well not really since i
cant get mail to work, but that is the intended use anyways. For now it has
only been used for the occasional aprs spot.
I assume that if the clients starts to use an JAVA modem, AndPskmail would
still work as before since the modes are the same. BUT if everyone converts
to Ardop, the Modem in AndPskmail would be obsolete. That is why i was
wondering if in the event that PSKmail goes ardop, would an ARDOP version
be available for us Adroid users.

BTW my second thougt now is, not to develop client to act like server but
use server as client...I have to confess, I have never run a server :D

I'm primarily using Android for pskmailing. Mostly because an phone is
easier to carry in my backpack than an computer.

So, I've come back to the old conclusion that we need to do something
for this use. I would like to go back and have another look at the
javamodem. Perhaps we should compile a few requirements for that and make a
dedicated effort to get that modem really work well. It does work now but
I'd like to get rid of the GUI as much as possible etc.
I'd like it to have a tx watchdog, settings for the US hf speed jailetc. Or, is the javamodem already good enough?
