I upgraded this morning to fldigi 3.21.0BA and within fldigi v.0.8.6 from jpskmail.jar dated 2011.01.02 to jpskmail.jar dated 2011.01.09 and several amazing events happened under Ubuntu 10.04-1LTS : - my SignaLink USB was not anymore properly recognized (Audio Codec choice possible in Configure - Sound Board only in "Playback", it did not show in "Capture" and a "Connect" or "Pos." in jPSKMail did not trigger transmission in fldigi ; - I reinstalled 3.21.0AZ and got my audiocodec in both capture and playback but no transmission triggered ;
- I reinstalled fldigi 0.20.24 with no success ; - I reinstalled several times these various versions without any success ; - I reinstalled the former jpskmail.jar dated 01.02 without improvement ;- I then rebooted to Windows XP SP3 where I upgraded fldigi to 3.21.0BA and jPSKMail v.0.8.6 to jpskmail.jar dated 01.09. Both programs worked nicely on Windows.
I rebooted the computer to Ubuntu and tried my last setting : fldigi 3.21.0AZ and jPSKMail v.0.8.6 with jpskmail.jar dated 01.02 and it worked nicely now, audiocodec being recognized. I upgraded again to fldigi 3.21.0BA and jPSKMail v.0.8.6 with jpskmail.jar dated 01.09 and both programs also worked nicely now.
Well, I don't understand what happened actually but after reinstallation and reboot of the computer fldigi 3.21.0BA can now recognize my SignaLink USB both under Windows and Ubuntu and can work with jPSKMail v.0.8.6 with jpskmail.jar dated 01.09.
