Hello Pär and all, I was pinging at 7038 mHz at 1:25 UTC 12/31/06 sm0rwo, with my full 100 Watts. I am hoping I am pinging correctly. The ARRL propagation chart is for 1500 W and the slot bwtween the MUF and LUF is only about 1 mHz wide at the 40 meter band. Considering I have only 100 W, the LUF (Lowest Usable Frequency) is much higher (probably higher than the MUF - Maximum Usable Frequency), and therefore propagation at this time is probably not possible. Per the chart, the best chance between South USA and Sweden seems to be 12 to 16 UTC for 20 meters, and 13 to 15 UTC for 17 meters. It would be much better to test our setups locally at 300 to 400 miles on 40 meters (day) or 80 meters (night). This way propagation is assured and we could concentrate on our operating skills, which needs polishing. So, I have revised the table and it now looks like: 3595.25 7038.00 10148.00 14075.00 18105.00 PSK125 for all of them and beacon is on 40 meters now. I have updated the wiki with this as well. 73 de Per, sm0rwo -- Pär Crusefalk Turnévägen 5 14243 Skogås Tel: +4687717482 Mob: +46768800670 -- No virus found in this incoming message.
