Franco, there must be something else, the effects you see are not happening here... I can switch xastir on and off and I get no error... this is on UBUNTU as well as on puppy Linux. The only thing I can think of is that xastir tries to open the RS232 port which fldigi uses for PTT out. Pse try the following: Start xastir and remove all interface devices (Interface tab) with the exception of the Internet Server device pointing to localhost:8063. Then try again... 73, Rein PA0R >Il 26/12/2010 22:41, Franco Spinelli ha scritto: >> Il 26/12/2010 11:28, Pär Crusefalk ha scritto: > >> There are steps needed for reproduce the error. >> >> 1) start fldigi >> 2) start jpsjmail >> 3) leave off your RTX and Xastir >> 4) open menu -> edit -> preferences in jpskmail and you can see DSR on >> PTT com port ON, i.e. RTX in tx mode >> > >Test results for this morning with DL9YCS-3: > >1) start fldigi >2) start jpskmail >3) start also your RTX >4) start Xastir -> RTX in TX mode! >5) push 2 times TUNE in Fldigi and you are out of TX >6) connect and get some APRS positions -> positions are shown in Xastir >7) close Xastir -> RTX in TX mode! >8) push 2 times TUNE in Fldigi and you are out of TX > >There is some interference with APRS server and Fldigi command from >jpskmail. > >Regards >Franco Spinelli >IW2DHW > >
