I made some tests with a local installed pskmailserver and the jpskmail client. pskmailserver version was 2.2.1 ( http://www.pskmail.org/downloads/pskmail_server_update-280514.tar.gz) First I tried aprs email (dl8jf@DL8JF-1 Test) to the servercall (DL8JF-1), which was correctly delivered to the local mailbox.

Next I tried: "dl8jf@xxxxxxxxxxxx Test"
The pskmailserver log showed:

~MSG DL8JF-8 dl8jf@DL8JF-1 Test
TO:dl8jf@DL8JF-1

I've waited some time but I got no email.
So I looked in "rflinkserver.pl" after the aprs email handling and found the local mailbox delivery and the smtp part.
Line 2904 and following are:
=head
eval {
if ($1 eq "tweetymail") {
if ($address ne "none" && length ($address) > 0) {
send_tweety (@message); # send the mail via pskmail.org
}
} else {
=cut
send_mail(@message); # send the mail via smtp
=head
}

}

The else statement was in the =head, =cut block and has no effect, so "send_mail(@message);" was never reached. I put the "=cut" two lines up restarted the pskmailserver and got the following error message after sending the same aprs email:

   Message_out:
eeee00uDL8JF-1:71 100 BA6A
-----
~MSG DL8JF-8 dl8jf@xxxxxxxxxxxx Test

As far I can see the SMTP connection was established but I have no idea about the next errors in the following lines.

It does look ok there. What can go wrong is when the server has no from address for the sending station. Meaning of the server has no user record for you then the email will have an empty from field. A mall server receiving that will probably think it's spam as that is common with spam email. But it's have to check the server log to be sure.

Hi,
I've tried to send a short Email via APRS in the jpskmail-1.6.1 <tel:1.6.1> client
several times without luck.
The terminal window in fldigi (version 3.21.81 <tel:3.21.81>) shows the following
output :

<SOH>00uDL8JF-1:25 dl8jf@xxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:dl8jf@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Test 73
F876 <tel:876><EOT>
     0
<Mode:PSK-500 <tel:500>R>
--uetpmvoona a0-tb ae)iSZR wZWruneeeee<SOH>00uSM0RWO-1:71 46 <tel:71%2046>
DE4E<EOT><s
2n: 28, 100.0 <tel:100.0>, 0.0 <tel:0.0>>

But I never got the email.
If I use the connected mode to a pskmail server the email was sent
correctly to my account.
Any idea what could be wrong?

P.S.: In the preferences configuration there is an entry: Log File
Client.log.
I've created a Client.log file at .pskmail, started jpskmail, but there
are no log messages in it, it remains empty. Is the .pskmail directory
the correct location for the logfile ?
