Hi Alan, thanks for your email. I think the problem is regarding the path of installation. Try to add the following line in the top of the script "create-first": #!/bin/sh path=`pwd` cd $pathBe sure also that you are enabled SSI INCLUDES in the httpd server configuration (usually in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf).
Verify your httpd.conf if contains the following lines: AddType text/html .shtml AddOutputFilter INCLUDES .shtml AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl Options Indexes Includes FollowSymLinks ExecCGI I will update the INSTALL file of 1.7 with these informations. If you have other problems write me. Best 73 Roberto IS0GRB----- Original Message ----- From: "Alan" <akepple@xxxxxxx>

I have an Apache2 server running now. However after running the pskmail_monitor 1.6 install script I can't find the index.shtml file. I can see all the pieces of the website in my /var/www/html/pskmailserver folder but I can't see the index.shtml file. When I test the server I can see a default page. Probably the server version of ubuntu install it by default. 73 Roberto----- Original Message ----- From: Roberto IS0GRBTo: pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, August 23, 2008 9:47 AM Subject: [pskmail] Re: PskMail Monitor v.1.5 Hi Alan, thanks for your email. It is not necessary to install a server version of Ubuntu, you must only have installed a server version of PskMail; every linux distribution is ok. Download the last version 1.6, see the INSTALL file and run "./install.sh". I currently have a desktop version of Ubuntu installed. Would I need to install the server version of Ubuntu for PskMail monitor or can I just run a server daemon? Fred, sorry to hear about the lightning damage. Hope to see you on the air again soon.
