Per has made new installers for jPSKmail-0.8.8, which looks pretty stable now. I have uploaded them to the download directories on the wiki, you get them at http:./hermes.esrac.ele.tue.nl/pskmail Apart from a lot of bug fixes some of the features of 0.8.8 are: * Connect, quit, abort and send now have a menu, so you can reach them on every tab * You can set the download resume policy in the Files menu: accept, reject or delete partial downloads * The Igate status is now permanent, so if you use jPSKmail at home you need to start the Igate only 1x * Chat mode now has an idle time of minimum 120 seconds (0 means permanent link) Some users find it difficult to see if the text they wrote has arrived at the other end of the link... There is an indicator for that in the bottom right corner of the application: *Grey idle *Pink no link *Green All text arrived both ends *Blue My text still in transit *Red Both sides have text in transit We have tested chat mode during varying conditions, between Spain and the UK, and between Spain and Italy. Works fine now, including file transfer. If you want to transfer larger files, or have a long rag chew, please move to a clear frequency, so yuo don't block the APRS frequency... we have enough QRM from ALE and RTTY stations already... 73, Rein EA/PA0R/M -- http://pa0r.blogspirit.com
