There is new alpha software for testing: pskmail_server-1.0.23.tar.gz This new server supports the resume function (restart a download automatically after a disconnect). It also features a new info command: ~GETIAC downloads the latest IAC fleetcodes file from NOAA, which can then be viewed with zyGrib (available for windows as well as linux). jpskmail-0.7c The archive is called javapskmail.jar, and the best way to install it is to use the installer for jPSKmail-0.5.4, and then copying the new javapskmail, jar file over the existing one. jPSKmail-0.5.4 installs all the required libraries... The new client features an Igate function, which relays APRS beacons and APRS messages to the APRS-IS on the internet. As this is used on HF, the client does not QSL the beacons. This to keep contention on the pskmail APRS frequency to a minimum... As from now, you only need the client to build an HF APRS system.. The resume function has been ruggedized by adding some .flush here and there, the client will now resume even with only one line received... Also included is a menu command to download and auto-rename the latest IAC Fleetcodes file, to be displayed directly in zyGrib. The archives for server and client are available in http://hermes.esrac.ele.tue.nl/pskmail/alpha This test suite is a pre-beta release for the next stable client/server combination. If you have time, pse test this thoroughly, so I can get the bugs out before the beta release out... The client has been tested on Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows 2000.... The server runs on PI4TUE, hopefully soon on a server near you :) Have fun, 73, Rein PA0R -- http://pa0r.blogspirit.com
