This caused me no end of grief as well, to the point where I hacked the server
code to get rid of
it. As I only connect to my server this didn't matter.
Whilst I was in there, I got rid of or corrected a few other irritants. I
understand that I'm out of
step with the wider community but I have a combination that works for me;
consistently.
If the client was written in something other than java, I'd have a go at that
too.
