I tried my Ubuntu 6.0.6 LTS Desktop live CD works fine as a live CD! I have tried to use its install wizard to install it on the Twinhead AMD Laptop, giving it 30 gig to do it and.....its been thinking about it, for the last 2 hours! Looks like its gonna crash. Yes it did....:-(
So maybe its the machine spec thats bothering it all. Twinhead S14K Laptop Windows XP Home 2002 SP2 AMD 64 Turion 2GHz 64 Mobile MT-37 1gig RAM VIA/S3G Pro IGP video No Floppy 30gig spare on a Samsung IDE HD 1 x RS232 2 x USBI will be calling Twinhead support tomorrow, to enquire about their suggested Linux platform, that will work, even IF I have to buy it! This machine is my Ham PC and its a ruggedised model for field operation.

PSKmail has been developed on a UBUNTU 6.06 LTS system. Although the development system now runs 7.10, I am generating all puppy stuff on a dedicated 6.06 machine. All live CD versions run on all systems here (5 different desktops, 3 different laptops). And I have a puppy version running on my XYL's windows XT machine. 73, Rein PA0R > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Gesendet: 24.10.07 07:07:45 > An: pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Betreff: [pskmail] Live Distro problems....:-( > > Over the last 3 days or so, using 3 laptops and a desktop I am > wondering IF I am jinxed.
