Franz, to answer your questions: 1. The database is ~/.pskmail/rflinkusers/rflink_users.db 2. ~/.pskmail/rflinkusers/user_db.pl 3. On the client the session password is in Edit->Preferences->Userdata The client can reset the password on the server by issuing a ~RESETPASSWORD command In the newer clients it can also be done via Link->Reset password 4. The server sysop can erase the password via the user_db.pl program This is sel-explanitory. The new alpha test software for server (1.6.0) and client (1.5.8) does this automatically, so the client only has to do an 'Update server'. Hope this helps, Rein PA0R >Dear all, > >as operator of server oe5rtl I have a few (link-)password-questions: > >1) data base: what's the file-name of the database, located on the >server, where link-password is stored? >2) how can I read out the database (program, command,...) >3) how can the link-password be reset by client on both: client and >server >4) how can the record be erased on the server >(jpskmail_manual-1.5.7.pdf, page 7: 'From jPSKmail-1.5.6 and server >1.5.1 you can also erase the record from >the server')? > >Thanks for helping, > >Franz, oe5rtl > > > >Am Samstag, den 03.03.2012, 08:45 +0100 schrieb Rein Couperus: >> Can you see he has a password in the data base? >> >> Rein EA/PA0R/M >> >> >> ______________________________________________________________ >> Von: "Robert Krasowski" <rkrasowski@xxxxxxxxx> >> Gesendet: Mar 3, 2012 1:05:45 AM >> An: pskmail <pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> >> Betreff: [pskmail] Password question >> >> Hi, that seems to be an issue for some client and I do not >> know how to help them, >> W3BG is connecting to my server, he was trying to set up >> account with gmail, did not worked, so I open an account on my >> server, I told him how to set it up.
