I am in the process of updating the Kenwood TS-590 Family Resources Page, adding some information on well-known digital software packages.

This includes pskmail, and I have included a link to http://pskmail.org However, is this page/site up to date? There seem to be many pskmail pages on various sites that contradict each other, and I have no idea which is the latest.

My query concerns the implementation of the pskmail client, where under the heading "What is PSKMail?" it says:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"..... The client is written in java, and has the modems built in...."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Is this really true today? I vaguely remember that this was the original intention, but there were difficulties in keeping in sync with fldigi features, so, if I remember correctly, you dropped the idea of built-in modems and rewrote the client to interface with fldigi.

I have not used pskmail for a long time, so I could be completely out of touch with current developments!
