Hi,I think Rein was a bit faster with that alpha than I was with the code..:-) The OK button saves and in the version you have there used to be two ALMOST similar methods for saving. One lacked the aprs server stuff (the save menu entry) which the other had (the OK button). I removed the one the save menu pointed to and had it point to the one the OK button uses. Its not good to have two methods do the same thing (as shown here one lacked stuff). I committed that this morning and 15 minutes later there was an alpha on the mirrors, we need to create a new file without the extra method.
But, you can stop using the save menu and you should be fine as is. The save menu is really not necessary. The OK button already saves all in the preferences window. The save menu will save things you change in the main user window but those controls can save direct to the config file. That means there is really no use for that save menu.
So, if everything besides aprs server checkbox worked when using the OK button then we should be good :-)

Looks like the save is clearing the beacon status string. If just had to click the window and press enter. If I had closed and restarted it might have shown a blank string in the window APRS window as I have seem that happen before. Roger On 25/04/11 11:44, G6CKR wrote:Loaded and running. Waiting on first beacon going out. 2 items to report It is not possible to get a tick to show in the APRS server box. Also the OK save and the click save are interacting. If you click rig control and OK the tick in the box is there when you open edit again. If you click save and then open edit the tick has gone. 73 Roger On 25/04/11 08:20, Rein Couperus wrote:Alpha image uploaded. ReinFound it. Works here now, I'll send you a new jar right away. For instance editing server does not work now either. I will try to go through the entire thing tomorrow and create a better alpha. Will spend most of the day under my boat so I hope I can do this tomorrow evening. When you search for ports the system checks for working ports and will then get a hold on them and that means rts will be triggered. If you have hardware ptt then that will trigger a tx. System works that way so its a known behaviour. Just double click the TX switch in fldigi to stop it. If you had CAT controlling TX then it would not transmit. Not much we can do about this, at least when the configuration file is nicely saved and done you wont have to touch it. 73 de Per sm0rwo sön 2011-04-24 klockan 20:08 +0200 skrev Gunnar Bulukin:Hi, I connected an GPS to my client, latest alpha. When I, under devices, have selected port data from the GPS comes in and when I save it it stops. Going back to devices again its empty. When I try too search for ports the tx on the rig goes on and I have to stop pskmail and fldigi to disable the tx. Probably I am doing something wrong, again!! 73 de SA6BQZ Gunnar
