Thanks for the reply. I found a site that explained the boot process for puppy and discovered that rc.modules was what actually installs the drivers during boot. I didn't do anything fancy but just put the line : modprobe usbserial vendor=0x4348 product=0x5523 All seems to be working.. I'm just waiting on some irrigation pipe and will probably setup an inverted Vee.. I think I will use my ic-703 to start.
