If you want to spend your time testing pskmail this weekend there are some new
experimental goodies
available in http://hermes.esrac.ele.tue.nl/pskmail/alpha
* a new client image featuring client-to-client arq chat (javapskmail.jar) and
RSID handling
* bug fixed version of the dual speed pskmail-0.9.28 server with backoff
speed/mode
* experimental fldigi version (fldigi-3.13BF_PSKR) with PSK FEC interleaver
modes
This package now makes it possible to test the robust version of pskmail
which changes speed depending on channel conditions in clinet-server mode. You
can connect the
server in any mode (the THOR modes are not working in this version, so use
MFSK32 or PSK250R),
and the server will change its mode when the going gets rough, combing PSK500
(or PSK500R in the US)
with e.g. MFSK32 or PSK125R...
Please let us know if you find anything, I had a great time testing this...
