sorry that you are still so handicapped. Take it easy and be happy with the slow going :-) .

Of course I believe you have a working version, but that is not on pskmail.org. There was no feedback from me because I had no time to test the latest version before. It's significantly decreasing, but there are still some demands of old customers, which have higher priority. Less fun, but more income ;-) .

I simply downloaded http://www.pskmail.org/downloads/pslmail_server-2.0.20.tar.gz <http://www.pskmail.org/downloads/pskmail_server-2.0.20.tar.gz>

Unpacked it and started ./INSTALL in the resulting .....2.0.20 folder. That worked as always. The resulting pskmail_server had the $HOME problem, I know that it cannot work. Rest see my first posting.

So if you send me a correct archive I will give it a try. Maybe after May 25. Next week is for sailing again and I don't think I can do it today.

$HOME is used only in the shell, so you can only use it in system calls and

Perl uses $ENV{HOME}. (ENV, not EN).
server 2.0.20 installs and runs fine here, no error messages.

If I don't get any feedback, I keep thinking there is no problem.
If I must to change something, pse give me the relevant error messages...
You can always start the server separately in a terminal with /usr/local/share/pskmail/rflinkserver.pl,
you will see which libs are missing...
I need this type of feedback to get things working!!!

Hello all.

Tried to install server version 2.0.20, downloaded from pskmail.org.
Could not get it to work at all:

Unpacked the archive, made INSTALL executable and started ./INSTALL

Missing the referenced README.txt
Usage of $HOME in pskmail_server?
Error messages after replacing $HOME with $EN{HOME}
Gave up at this point, Don't know what I made wrong.

BTW: pskmail.org is a mess with wrong or outdated versions and
information. It will nobody encourage to use PSKMail.
