And all this, right here, is why I have decided to just slap the +10CS, -1EP 
onto veteran LW and have done with it.  No messing about with "hidden loyalty 
bonuses" and the like.  The loyalty bonuses are the Items.  The only difference 
between Veteran LW and "Newbie GM" LW is that Veteran LW gets to keep whatever 
stuff he's picked up along the way.  Otherwise, excepting the Random Number 
picks for CS and EP and the specific GM Discipline picks, one version of Kai 
Grandmaster LW is equal to any other Kai Grandmaster LW.
