The game doesn't support vertex color but i want to make it support mesh
coloring so that you can specify color tints for peices of models. Also I
want to make a tint for the entire model possible.

The game right now does per pixel lighting, so we are ok there already.

As far as light maps... we *may* but only if our dynamic lighting and shadow
system is either too slow in some cases, or it doesnt give us the look we
want. Light maps are good for making static lighting look good, but they
aren't really compatible with dynamic lights. I'd like our game to be 100%
dynamically lit but we'll have to see how that goes.

as far as vertex alphas do you mean being able to specify individual
vertices as varying levels of transparencies? If so, no... that usually
goes along with vertex coloring and i dont think we'll need either of those
guys (if im misunderstanding what you mean by either term let me know).

But, as part of the model peice / model coloring, you'll be able to set the
red, green, blue and alpha tint, so you will be able to play with
transparency for parts of models or the entire model from within the editor
/ we'll be able to control those things from within script.
