Hi Ty. I'm not sure about your set up. I use VmPlayer a lot and that supports sound with out any problems. If you open up your vmx file in notepad you can have a look and modify the settings. On MY VM's here the couple of lines to do with sound are: sound.present = "TRUE" sound.fileName = "-1" sound.autodetect = "TRUE" sound.virtualDev = "es1371" This was taken from a Ubuntu hardy VM. Editing the VMX file can be quite useful. Thanks. Nick. I got Debian images from Thoughtpolice and when I went to install a soundcard I was told that ESX3 images did not support soundcards, thus I had no sound. -- Take care, Ty my website: http://tds-solutions.net my blog: http://tds-solutions.net/blog skype: st8amnd127 My programs don't have bugs; they're randomly added features! __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind This email and any files attached are intended for the addressee and may contain information of a confidential nature.
