Why not try system access too? It can be downloaded and run temporarily from the web and may be able to work better. http://www.satogo.com/ I think is the url to start things off. -----Original Message----- From: programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Manish Agrawal Sent: Wednesday, August 04, 2010 10:52 To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: visual studio 2010 administrator mode - problem with jaws and NVDA Hi, I am running windows 7 64 bit and VS 2010 enterprise. I am unable to use VS 2010 editor window when visual studio is started in the administrator mode (right click and run as admin). With jaws, large parts of the editor window are completely ignored by jaws and moving around the cursor reads content that is on completely different lines. With NVDA, there is simply no output when trying to read by line, word, or character in the editor window. The editor almost works correctly when VS is run as a normal user with both jaws and NVDA. Any suggestions on why jaws and NVDA would be unable to access the editor window using UIA when VS is run as an admin? One guess I had was that jaws was running as a normal user and so couldn't access an application that was running with admin privileges. I tried running jaws as an admin as well but the results were the same. I'll be cross posting this to jfw tech support and the NVDA lists as well and keep the group posted if I find anything. __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind
