Hi all,
I use a server right now that is hosted by a company, but I am
only allowed to use it because my friend's father works at said
company. Now, however, he has resigned his position because of
his National Guard status going back to active, and I do not know
how much longer I will have the server available/hosted. My
question is this:
I have a pc that I could put some kind of linux on to make it a
server. How do I get a domain for it? I know you can buy domains
and server space (I was looking at xoxus.net) but I really only
need a way for people to enter a url and get to my server; in
other words, a domain registered to my box. Is this possible and
how do I do it? Thanks for any help.
