There was a converter from Jamal that could convert and do ocr, but I could not find it on the empowermentzone.com site, only an old dos version that did not have the features I saw in the email.

There are a lot out there, I like using pdftotext or pdftohtml
Just use apt if you are on linux to install them:
apt-get install poppler-utils
Should get pdftohtml and pdftotext...

HTH, and just google for a win version since I dunno about that.
