I think it would be nice to be able to install it on a java phone, as those are the cheepest you can get. Will this work on windows moble and pocket pc phones?

Hi Jim. If i am not mistaken, the lg phones utilize java as their operating systems. I have not, at least for the present, developed it for the java platform because my knowledge of java is severely limited. However, if there is a demand for it in the future, I'll extend it to the java based mobile phones. If you are thinking of upgrading your phone then, you should get either a symbian based or a windows CE based mobile phone. I don't think my LG VX 8300 does., but I don's know. If not, then when it comes time for my renewal, I would think about looking into getting phone that works with it. What question or questions do I need to ask.Thanks. Unfortunately, it will not be free. However, it will be a cheaper alternative to talx and mobilespeak which run to hundreds of dollars. Usability will be the driving force behind the development of the screen reader, so you need not worry about it, it will be taken care of, first and formost. What will itallow us to do? Thanks in advance. Within a few days, i would have finished developing an alternative screen reader for mobile phones which would hopefully be acheaper and more flexible replacement to talx and mobilespeak. I would like to give an opportunity and priority for a few members of the list tobeta test my product. I have not come up with a name for this mobilescreen reader yet, so feel free to come up with one and let me know. The screen reader is written with visual c++ and developed on visual studio2005 using the smart phone device emulator. I will only allow for 5applicants, and one very important criteria is the ability to positively contribute to the development of the software, either in programming terms or in usability. If you have the inclination to help me with this, please write to me privately. Selected beta testers will be given a free copy ofthe full working software. I am sorry that i'll not be able to payfinancially, but i hope the gift of the software and the satisfaction ofseeing the development through will be enough of a reward.
