Hi Alex,
Whenever I want to do sound based programming in Java for wave files
or MIDI, I use JavaSound. JavaSound is a little complicated to get
started, but once you have a few basic things down in your head, you
can play wave files, midi files, do custom sound synthesis, and pretty
much whatever else you want.
