Umm, my outlook seems to be dyeing. Here is the post again, hopefully with
less formatting errors.

HI there,
Try the following, this is what I had to do to get EdSharp and Python
working together.
1. uninstall EdSharp.

2. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\EdSharp

3. Delete any files you find there (I think it is an .INI file)

4. Make sure Python is installed and working.

5. Reinstall EdSharp.

Hope that works.

Hi Jim,

I accessed "ed sharp.ini" and found reference to python. I copied the line
and here it is:
"Python="python.exe "%Source%"

However, I did not find the path to it.

I was instructed to press cntrl+e while in ed sharp and type the path to
the python compiler.

Should the path to the python compiler be in ed sharp.ini and if so, could I

put it there?

If so, where should i put the path?

The python compiler is in the c:\python 2.5 folder.

Thanks for the response to my questions.

Hi Bob,
I haven't followed this thread closely. What does the line in your
EdSharp.ini file say about the Python compiler? Does that match up with
where the Python compiler is on your computer?

Thanks.

Hi List,

In regard to my problem with ed sharp finding the python compiler, I now
get
the message that windows can not open the file "#msntb_toolbar_full_name#
"

This message also pops up when I press windows key+e to access "my
computer."

I think that because this file can not be found, ed sharp can not find the
python compiler.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can succeed in getting
windows
to open this file?

I really want to learn python using ed sharp but
I am at a loss as to what to do and will appreciate any suggestions you
can
give me.

Bob
