I got that darn google toolbar installed by accident once, one of those deals where you have to find a checkbox to uncheck to avoid it I believe. It took some work to be rid of it but if memory serves it started in the control panel Add Remove Programmes.
I think I also had to go to Programs, Common Files to chase out some residual files left behind.

Hi Jackie -- I think I have found the problem in internet options, but want toreconfigure the google toolbar anyway, in case it is doing something I don'twant. I have looked everywhere however and can't find the google toolbar. Ibelieve it is there somewhere from the way jaws speaks when I am surfing the web. But I have no idea how to reference it directly, more less change itssettings. Could you point me the general direction? Thanks! --le----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie McBride" <abletec@xxxxxxxxx>To: <programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, June 03, 2009 12:45 PM Subject: Re: cookie crumbs U might wanna look at your google toolbar options & make certain it's not doing an autofill. Otherwise, go to control panel > user account, highlight your account & press enter. From thence, go to manage network passwords & see if there are entries which u wish to remove. I have logins on a number of sites that I really don't want broken into -- places like paypal for example. I do not want the password, which I always have memorized, saved insome cookie on my system. At first I thought this would not happen withoutme explicitly telling it to, but recently when I go to paypal, something fills in the password field. Since the password is starred out, I triedhitting the log in button to see if the saved password would work and sureenough, it did. So what app is responsible for saving this info, and howdo I prevent it?(Needless to say, I never opt to save a cookie with this info on the sitesof interest. So I don't think that I'm the culprit...) TIA for any info. --le __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind-- Change the world--1 deed at a time Jackie McBride Check out my homepage at: www.abletec.serverheaven.net & please join my fight against breast cancer <http://teamacs.acsevents.org/site/TR?px=1790196&pg=personal&fr_id=3489> __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind __________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind
