how do you thing that you "can create pages"?
In drupal, you create a theme for all the site, then you add pages via its interface.
So you go to create content and there you have page.
In the page you put the title and then the content.
From there you can put the page where you want.
Also you can set from administration/site configuration if I remember well,
what is the home page of your site, if you want a static home page.
But you don't need this if you make a single page published on the first page.
How ever, there are modules out there to help you.
One of them I found to be of great help is "node hierarchy".
Also you can customise the way the site behaves trough settings.
For example you can allow or not allow comments.
Is not so easy from the first time, you must investigate in deepth what is there and after make conclusions.
I recomend also the cck module and the views module.
best regards

Subject: content management systems?

Hello all,
I wanted to learn cms, as it seems to be the big thing now, but I seem to be having some issues. The way it looks, it's almost a blogging sort of thing. First, I want to start by adding pages like home, about us, services, etc. Then adding links in a menu to those pages. How hard is it to get drupal away from it's blogging ideas and to just create a basic site with it?

Thanks,
Tyler Littlefield
