All,
Have had a couple of enquiries about the status of the SSIP speech
server for Windows. Got tied up with some first quarter java programming
at work but here is the status.

1. Am running the server full time on my machine now.

2. The option to set the speech API has been enhanced to take AUTO as an
option along with the other settings such as Jaws, WINEYES, SA, or SAPI.
If the API option is set to AUTO, SSIP will automatically attempt to
detect which screen reader is both installed and currently running and
will set the API to that interface. Using this option, I have been able
to run my java screen reader with jaws, Window-Eyes, and System Access.

3. The server has gone through some minor updates to more closely follow
the SSIP command structure specification.

I am still finalizing the sample clients but my coding demands have let
up a little here at work for the time being; so, maybe I can wrap this
up and get it out to everyone shortly.
