Since you work under USDA, they should be incorporating accessible
product under Section 508.

I do know SAP has a very active accesibility workgroup working on the
accessibility of their products.  Most of their products release
currently are using Java based platforms and supply the JRE with the
installs for the installation if it is not already installed under the
common shared files.

I personally only get involved with Crystal Reports which is one of
their inherited products and work for this is coming along wit rumor
of an accessible product in possibly next version.  I tried all the
recent JRE based CR versions XI, 2008 and the latest and accessibility
still is not fully there even using Access-Bridge.

I also know that they did do an accessment of all their current
products within the past 2 years to find out what they needed to do to
get them to work with screen readers in all Windows platforms.  I also
understand the Java Eclipse plug-in for Crystal Reports is somewhat
accessible so that's a start.

If you wish to know more about accessibility in SAP products, contact
them directly.  They may be able to forward your questions to someone
who may be working on the issues for the products USDA is bringing in.

Anyone know what the SAP Project on Freedom Scientific's site is all
about?  Maybe tha'ts related to this issue.
