No worries.

I haven't gone too far into jaws scripting myself, but anyway...

Stay well

  Hello Jacob,

I highly appreciate your help. However, i have already those 2 manuals in
addition to the snow man lectures. I also have Victor's lectures. I am now in
seek of some more profitional and solid matterials so that i can deepen my
knowledges and sharpen my skills. I have already written a couple of scripts,
but they are very basic ones. The more complex one is the one i've written for
a proogram called DeepFreeze. In the latter, i implimented my modest skills in
declaring some local variables and ask jaws to make 2 opposite dicisions
depending on a state of some radio buttons on the screen. Apart from that, i
still need a lot to get where i want to.

Again Jacob, please don't hesitate to drop me any information or suggestion
whatever, thanks in advance for your efforts!

My sincere thanks to you Jim. I am already a member of that list. It is
full of very experienced and helpful people, yet, i still need some solid
written matterial to rely on through my way. Thanks again Jim for your
suggestion.

      All the best!

        Hi Hamid,

There's a mailing list for JAWS scripting over at FreeLIsts. I think
that to subscribe, you write an e-mail to jawsscripts-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
and put the word subscribe in the subject.

        Thanks.

I am really grateful for the useful information you provided Ishe! I
will try to set a personal schedule for myself and as you said on precise goals.
As for Jaws Scripting, can you give me Jackie's contact information
please?

Related to your suggestions, where can I find material for VB? And
would theVB interface be accessible with jaws?

        Any help is greatly appreciated!

        Hi Hamid,

I stated JavaScript as an example only.

Well, JAWS scripting is more like a macro language in that it is hosted
by JAWS and cannot be interpreted outside the JAWS application.

However, JAWS syntax resembles to some degree Visual basic and its
cousins like VBScript, so learning these won't be a problem as your first
languages.

You would be encouraged to learn that most programmers teach themselves
useful skills using available literature, some doses of patience, practice and
setting goals.

For example, you can just make a resolution each month to reach a
particular stage of development: bit by bit you will craft some little app to
serve your purpose.

As for JAWS scripting lessons, there is someone on this list, I think
Jackie, who offers these lessons: you can sign up for her classes. I think she
will tell you more about it.

Well, wish you all the best,

        Ishe
