There are other lists of course with some member duplication and probably 
several times more not on any mailing lists.My brother was a programmer for 
four decades most of which were before the Internet, many before programmers 
had keyboards let alone access shortcut keys.

Then there are amateurs like me who are on lists but not really programmers.

The numbers are a guide only but nevertheless a useful starting point.
