Edsharp (latest version) should work well with NVDA.
If my memory serves me right I think Jamal (the edsharp dev) announced that
edsharp 3.2 now also ships with NVDA scripts.
These scripts are not required to use the editor, but rather enhance some
speech functionality.
That's the case with the JAWS scripts for edsharp at least.

I've not tried NVDA with edsharp though.
Actually I've not tried NVDA for quite some time since the last time I tried
it the Braille support sucks.
Maybe it's time to give NVDA a new chance.
I read that one of their goals were to improve Braille output.
Maybe they've implemented it now.

Does this program fully work with NVDA, or will I need JAWS or 
Window-Eyes for this? I'm asking as I use NVDA full time and try not to 
rely on the commercial offerings.
