Yes, there is some sort of "type text" function in the jaws scripting functionality that will allow you to press a hot key of your choosing and have jaws insert as much text as you would like. This information and an easy to follow example is in the jaws scripting manual. You might want to ask the list for the subscription information to the jaws scripting list if you want to hone your jaws scripting knowledge a bit before the big day of your dissertation.Matthew---- Original Message ----- From: "Andreas Stefik" <stefika@xxxxxxxxx>To: <programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, April 13, 2008 2:29 PM Subject: Re: Jaws post processingHey, thanks Jackie, Sina, and Matt, this is exactly the information I was looking for. A few more quick questions if you folks don't mind. When JAWS receives information from a textbox that it is asked to read, it does receive that string though, right? For example, if I was using a chat client and I wanted to append my friend's name to the end of each message, is there a way to do that using JAWS scripts? And lastly, is there any official documentation on doing some kind of post processing in JAWS? I'm giving my thesis defense this Friday, and while it's not a huge deal, it would be nice to read some official documentation before that time, if anything exists on this post-processing topic. Thanks again folks, enormously helpful, as always!
