try php4all. If I'm remembering the name right, it installs apache,
mysql and php and makes them all play together nicely. It's what I
use here internally for testing.

If your using asp or asp.net then I'd suggest IIS. As already
reported here, you'll get it on xp pro or some versions of vista.
Getting it working on home is a bit dodgy as it involves making XP
behave differently and it has broken a few installations on me in the
past.

Your main concern when you do this is security. Firewalls and
antivirus applications are absolutely vital.

IIS can run PHP apps. However, if Apache works (unlike in my case), IIS

Whas up with this little punk? I call that flaming.
Alix, check out apache. and, FYI, I usually give him info on msn. I don't
think IIS runs php, so you'll proly wanna go the apache root. I don't see
you on MSN, so it seems I'll just do this in an email.
  Thanks,
  Tyler Littlefield.

    hi,

    hey mr. littlepunk
he was wanting a better answer than one word.
Win xp pro includes iis which is internet information server.
i think you can download it for free if you only have win xp home.
If you don't want to go the windows route, you can install linux and
apache and other apps but i don't know as much about that.
