You could use c++, c#, AutoIt, vb for the text and do a console/window with
sapi. that's up to you.
Apparently, if you want to create a "web based php game" then that requires you
learn php, which again means reading a tutorial.

There is one you can look up under google. just type in mud creater its a
prety neet thing to play around with. It lets you build a complete game but not
sure the ruels on hwo to get it on line.
