Yes you are right. I also don't like Outlook Express header, but I don't care if the others don't care, especially that those who use Windows don't care and use the same headers, because they also top-post.

You have to admit the windows mail clients aren't the best.
Just look at your reply header...

What's wrong with my reply header?

Its to long and includes info that people don't care about...
Look at mine it fits into one line.

Do you know how to use the search function in your package manager?
Do you know how to use grep, | more | less and redirrection?

Yes, and? What should I need to search for?

What software package you are after.
eg. apt-cache search ocr

your mail client can do that, right?)

No, it can only search for subject or sender's name, but I could just grep it if I like...

Oh, and you call it a good email client?

I do... I can probably do all that stuff, but I haven't looked into it since I haven't needed it.
If I wanted/need it I would get a client with it.

In Outlook Express I can search after the from, to, subject, message body, in the current folder with messages only or in its subfolders, search from a starting date until an end date, in the messages that have attachments or not, and maybe other less useful criteria.

I can grep which is a lot more powerful.
I could put together scripts...
Outlook isn't that great...

grep 'basic apps' -i -n sentfile
I think that is the right switch for ignore case...

See? I might also forget the right switches for the features I want to use, and that's why I like a mail client like Outlook Express. It doesn't require to remember anything.

If I used that regulary I would remember and its right...
Also I can quickly look it up.
