    yes the tilde belongs in it, hmmm I've never had anyone not be able to log
on before, odd, well try this link then:
    ftp://trades:monIcle~73@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/public_html/

    that's a direct copy of the IE shortcut I use to log on to the site, in
fact the one I used to upload the file

      Hi Inthane,
      Thanks for the information. I got there and when I logged on using the
credentials, it sis that I could not log on using that user id password
combination. Does the ~ character belong in the password?

      Thanks.

        yes and it bounced the attachment, tell you what, I'll just put it up
on my trades ftp site and you can go get it, smile, here's the info again in
case you don't have it handy:
        In Internet explorer;
        ftp://trades@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/
        in a third party FTP client its;
        ftp:trades.alacorncomputer.com
        user name is:
        trades
        the password is:
        monIcle~73

        and the file you want is the only one there now, its called:
        msicuu2(MicrosoftWindowsCleanupInstaller).exe

        take care,
        inthane

            let me check what I have of my fix it files, I may still have the
copy of the advanced uninstaller that Microsoft gave me to remove a similarly
messed up copy of the .net framework 2.0, if I have it I'll ship it to you.

              Hi,
              Some how, my computer got hung up when I was trying to uninstall
VB 2005 Express. Now the program tells me it can't open the msi installer file.
Does anyone know how to fix the problem and uninstall the program?

              Thanks.

              Jim
