Is the sample.htm file outside of the chat folder in the same way as it is in the download? Last night I uploaded the entire folder LiveChat to
http://gutterstar.net/cgi-bin/LiveChat/sample.htm And all appears to be well. One thing to keep in mind, if you change the folder structure, you will need to change the predir variable in the init.js file to point to the relative folder where the php files are located; this is relative to the location of the sample.htm file. The permissions that I have all of the files set to is 644, and the folders are 755.
I'll have more time to check things out this evening though. Hopefully this helps, Bryan----- Original Message ----- From: "Oriol Gómez" <ogomez.s92@xxxxxxxxx>

I'm running sample.htm, and it won't send any of the messages I give it. I don't see any obvious issue here since I have set the file permissions of messages.php to 777 just to see if it had anything to do with that. Also, I can see that old messages get deleted as I hit enter to send a new one but it won't come up. Right now it's become empty. any help with this would be appreciated. Certainly, you can do whatever you like with it. You will probably need to override the sraStart and sraEnd properties for localization purposes in the file "init.js", which is outlined at www.WhatSock.com, on the Core API tab, in the Automatic Accessibility Framework section. If you need help with this, just let me know. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Oriol Gómez" <ogomez.s92@xxxxxxxxx> To: <programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, January 18, 2011 12:37 AM Subject: Re: Fw: Released Dynamic Live Chat V4Hey thanks. I was looking for something like that. Would I be allowed to translate this chat system to Spanish and use it in my radio website? Thanks! Change Log 1. The front-end coding has been converted to use the AccDC Enterprise API for all client side behaviors; including automatic message announcementfor screen reader users using the automated message queuing feature thatprevents message announcement overlapping. The JS file is viewable at http://gutterstar.net/chat/js/init.js 2. The operational aspect of the script has changed, so that Dynamic Live Chat can be dynamically included within any standard HTML page using JavaScript, and no longer requires a PHP insertion within the desired page. A live demo is also available at http://gutterstar.net/dynamic_live_chat.php Which can be dynamically invoked by clicking the "Open Dynamic Live Chat" button. The backend of the script is a simple PHP script, which has been condensed. Since the front-end of the script which controls all dynamicbehaviors is not actually integrated with the server side scripting, thePHP script can easily be replaced with a more robust database query script while maintaining the same level of dynamic functionality using the front-end AccDC Enterprise API controlled UI. Similarly, the visual appearance can easily be modified as desired by editing the file "chat.css". The package can be downloaded directly at http://gutterstar.net/cgi-bin/LiveChat.zip Bryan _______________________________________________ dev-accessibility mailing list dev-accessibility@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/dev-accessibility__________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind__________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind__________ View the list's information and change your settings at //www.freelists.org/list/programmingblind
