Hi,
As you guessed, there was a line slightly wrong in the server configuration 
file. IE guessed and figured out what to do. That covered up the error. Another 
reason for me to like FireFox. Now it works. I was able to compare what I had 
with someone who gave me the instructions originally. I missed one little part 
after the slash and that threw it off. Live and learn.

It does seem weird, but I'm just saying the configuration of <whatever server 
you are using> is definitely the first thing to check when you see behavior 
like that. It's hard to tell for sure though, as you haven't provided many 
details on your test environment, so I suspect we're all pretty much guessing.
